Random Numbers in a Range

User Rating: / 5

This generation rule allows to generate numbers randomly selected in a range. The produced numbers can be integers or float numbers of an arbitrary precision.

The random selection is uniform, which means that if you produce enough numbers with this rule, there will be no significant step between the times each number is produced.

To configure a range number generator you must set the lower and upper bounds of the range as well as the precision of the generated numbers.

A precision of 0 is for generating integers and with a precision of 1 there will be only one digit after the decimal mark '.'

You can use parameters and expressions for the lower and upper bounds as well as for the precision. But those will be evaluated only once during the initialization of the generator.
